The more ways for me to aquire gold the better!

Hell, don't beat around the bush, just flat out give me gold for completing fow/uw quests or winning in PvP.

I see a few people every day that have a full set of Fissure Armor and I often wonder if they got it from ebay gold, or from honest hard work.

I only have 1 piece of fissure armor that I just aquired (fow pants for my monk), and it cost me approx 400k. That took countless hours of solo farming and trading, and all I can say is that it would have been a lot more fun if I had additional ways to make money in the game.

Its obvious with the release of Factions and Alliance Battles that Anet wants the main focus to be PvP competition, and not farming and endless trading. Giving us redemable faction to aquire jade and amber was Anets attempt to suck the solo farmers in to pvp i suppose.

It can provide me with an alternative to making money, but its pretty slow going compared to solo farming and power trading. If your lucky and have a winning streak I guess you could earn 10k in an hour of Alliance Battles, but it just doesn't compete with the 30-40k you can make solo farming or the possible 100k++ trades you can make in the same amount of time. Maybe you could do Alliance Battles for 100 hours and reach 1000k, but who the hell would have the patience to do that.

This would make PvP a lot more worth it for people that moslty or only play Pve. This would also take away some farming and make trying to get something that is extremely expensive a lot more fun to try to get. As far as ectos becoming less than 1k, i hughly doubt that would happen. Aren't obsidian shards only used for the armor? As far as I know, yes, and they are still 3k at least. I personally don't see the point of balthazar faction unless you have a PvP character, which I don't, and since I like to play in Fort Aspenwood to get faction so I can get materails for my armor for free, I have plenty of balthazar factionction that will accually do anything for me. The only problem I have, is make each gold worth like 2 faction or something, not one. Everything else seems like it would make the game better and give more options to a lot of players.

And Aren't there 3 GW teams? Two that make the next chapters and one that makes the events?(I read that there was in a post somewhere here in the Guru forums) If so they could just have the events team make this and it starts as an event somehow but ends up permanent. Or they could just make it easier on themselves and add it in with an update, and announce it, but just don't have an event for it even though it would probably be make by the event team if it is made at all...

I also like the ideas, but the one about the ectos it might make the ppl who already bought FoW angry me thinks.

Alternative Idea:

- Freeing a Reaper in UW gives 1 Glob of Ectoplasm.

- Completing all the quests given by an eternal in FoW gives 1 Obsidian Shard.
